Richard Gilhooly

Richard Gilhooly is a Managing Director of Navigate Advisors with twenty years of financial markets experience. Most recently, Mr. Gilhooly was the Senior Interest Rate Strategist at BNP Paribas NY, where he worked for 14 years and produced research on the US Treasury Bond market, GSE debt, interest rate swaps and mortgage product. He advised clients ranging from domestic real money investors, international clients including Central Banks, hedge funds, as well as internal market-makers and proprietary traders at BNP. Prior to that, Mr. Gilhooly was a senior International Economist at Kidder Peabody Securities, in London, where he also worked at Baring Brothers and Midland Bank, after graduating from the London School of Economics with an MSc in Economics. His expertise is macroeconomic analysis and the impact of Central Bank policy on the term structure of rates, with an emphasis on yield curve movement, consequences for “spread product” and on the market for inflation-protected product.
